Privacy Policy

Viking Row is a mobile rhythm rowing game by Grenland Kompetanse AS. This policy explains what information the game uses, why it is used, and how players can ask for help or deletion.

Information We Use

• A generated device ID used to create and recognize your PlayFab player account.
• Your chosen player name.
• Optional profile details: crew or club, country, and city or hometown.
• Gameplay results: score, distance, time, accuracy, combo, perfect/good/miss counts, selected game mode, and leaderboard rank.
• Approximate location information supplied by Cloudflare, such as country and city, only to suggest or support leaderboard filtering.
• Basic technical information required to run the online services, such as request time, routing/security information, and service logs.

How We Use Information

We use this information to save progress, show leaderboards, sync profile and best runs, prevent obviously impossible scores, keep the service reliable, and help with support requests.

Online Services

Viking Row uses Microsoft PlayFab for player login, profile data, and leaderboards. Viking Row uses Cloudflare Workers to connect the game securely to PlayFab and run server-side validation.

Leaderboard Visibility

If you submit a score, your player name, country, city or hometown if provided, and run result may be visible to other players on leaderboards. Do not use your real full name as your player name if you do not want it shown publicly.

Local Storage

The game stores settings, profile values, and local best runs on your device so the game can work smoothly between sessions.

Data Deletion

Players can request deletion or reset of their online Viking Row player data by contacting us at post@grenlandkompetanse.no. Please include your player name and approximate time of your last run so we can identify the correct PlayFab account.

Children

Viking Row is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate permission. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

Security

We use server-side score validation and do not place the PlayFab secret key inside the app. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect leaderboard and profile data.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or services change. The latest version will be available on this page.
